Name of the Post:
1. Assam Civil Service (Jr.Grade): 115 Posts
2. Assam Police Service (Jr.Grade): 59 Posts
3. Labour Officer: 03 Posts
4. Superintendent of Taxes: 09 Posts
5. Superintendent of Excise: 04 Posts
6. District Transport Officer: 08 Posts
7. Inspector of Labour: 01 Post
8. Inspector of Taxes: 26 Posts
9. Inspector of Excise: 01 Post
Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 21 years to 38 years as on 01-01-2014. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should posses Degree from any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational institutions established by an Act of parliament.
Application Fee: Candidates have to pay Rs. 25/-for SC/ ST and Rs.50/- for others paid at any branch of State Bank of India through System Generated Bank e-Challan. After payment the Bank will provide a Journal Number retain it for future use.
Selection Process: Candidates are selected based on Written Examination & Interview.
How to Apply: Eligible candidates can apply online from the website www.apsc.nic.in from 10-04-2014 to 10-05-2014 by 12:00 Midnight. No need to send the hard copy of application.
Online Instructions:
1. Before applying candidates have to scan photograph with white background and signature in JPEG/ JPG or PNG format not exceeding 50 KB and 20 KB.
2. Log on to www.apsc.nic.in.
3. Click on Apply Online.
4. Fill all the details carefully and upload photo and signature.
5. After filling the details click on I Agree button.
6. Edit Option is Provided for any corrections.
7. After submission candidate should take printout of the system generated Bank e-challan, Registration Slip and Application Form for future use.
Important Dates: 
Starting Date of Online Application: 10-04-2014.
Last Date for Receipt of Online Application: 10-05-2014 by 12:00 Midnight.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should posses graduation in Science/ Arts/ Commerce for Sl No 1 and Graduate in Science/ Arts/ Commerce from a recognized university for Sl No 2 and Post Graduate Degree in History of a recognized University for Sl No 3.
Application Fee: Candidates have to pay Rs.2.50/- for SC & ST and Rs.5/- for others through Treasury Challan by showing name of the post and department and also full head to account “Non Tax Revenue – Other Non Tax Revenue-0051-PSC, 102- State Public Service Commission Application/ Examination Fee Receipt of APSC” on or before 29-04-2014.
Selection Process: Candidates are selected based on Written Test/ Interview.
How to Apply: Eligible candidates can submit application in prescribed format with one recent photograph (Signed) on the space provided in the application form along with attested copies of certificates/ mark sheets from HSLC on-wards, Caste Certificate/ Registration Certificate/ Experience Certificate, to the Commission’s office on or before 29-04-2014.
