Gauhati High Court, Assam has issued notification for the recruitment
of 63 Posts of Stenographers in the Principal seat of Gauhati High Court
and Sub-ordinate Judiciary of Assam. Eligible candidates may apply

Age Limit: Candidates
age should not be less than 18 years and more than 38 years as on date
of Advt. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.
Educational Qualification:
Candidate must possess Bachelors Degree from recognized University with
Diploma in Stenography in English with a speed of 100wpm in shorthand
and 40 wpm on a computer Due weight will be given to a law Graduate for
Principal Seat Posts. Candidates must possess Degree/ H.S pass with
Diploma in ITI/ Polytechnic in Stenography for Sub-ordinate Judiciary
Post.
Application Fee:
Candidates need to pay Rs.200/- for General/ OBC/MOBC candidates and
Rs.100/- for SC/ ST/ PWD. Candidates has to download the Challan from
the website and deposit in the nearest branch of State Bank of India
with the filled up fee payment Challan in Current Account No.
32512284007.
Selection Process: Selection will be done on the basis of Written Test, Stenography Test and viva-voice/ Interview.
How to Apply:
Candidates need to apply online through the website www.ghconline.nic.in
on or before 22-02-2013. After submission of online application
candidates must take the print of the system generated Application form
for further use.
Instructions for Online Application:
1. Log on to the website www.ghconline.in.
2. Select the ‘Download Bank Challan for Step I’ link.
3. Take print out of Bank Challan and make payment as mentioned above.
4. Revisit the website and select ‘Register New Candidate’ link in Step II.
5. Fill all details in the Online Application, upload photo and click on ‘Submit’ button.
6. In step III submit application form and take note of system generated Application Number/ retain it for further use.
