High Court of Calcutta, Office of the District Judge of Hooghly,
English Department has issued notification for filling up of 46
Stenographer, Lower Division clerk, English Typist – Copyist, Process
Server & Peon posts in the Judgeship of Hooghly, West Bengal.

1. English Stenographer Group ‘B’: 03 posts
2. Lower Division Clerk Group ‘C’: 19 posts
3. English Typist – Copyist Group ‘C’: 05 posts
4. Process Server – Group ‘D’: 05 posts
5. Peon – Group ‘D’: 14 posts

Age Limit: Candidates age must be between 18 to 40 years as on 01-01-2013. Age relaxations will be extended as per Govt. rules.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have passed Madhyamik or equivalent examination from
any recognized board along with fingering speed in computer operation
& speed of 80 WPM in Shorthand and speed of 30 WPM in Type Writing
for Sr. No. 1, 2, 3 posts & VIII class pass certificate from any
recognized school/ Institution for Sr. No. 4, 5 posts.
Application Fee:
Candidates need to pay Rs.200/- for Group – ‘B, C’ & Rs.100/- for
Group ‘D’ category (Rs.50/- & Rs. 25/- for SC/ ST candidates) in the
form of IPO, drawn in favor of “Chairman, District Recruitment
Committee, District Judgeship, Hooghly”, payable at Chinsurah.
Selection Process:
Selection shall be made on the result of Written Examination for Sr. No.
4 & 5 posts, Dictation, Transcription, Written Test, Typing Test
& Personality Test for Sr. No. 1 posts, Preliminary, Main Exam &
Personality Test for Sr. No. 3 posts & Written Test, Personality
Test for Sr. No. 2 posts.

with all given mandatory details, affix passport size photograph on it
and sent along with duly attested legible copies of proper documents/
testimonials, two self-addressed (with pin code) envelopes without
stamps must be reach to the Chairman, District Recruitment Committee,
Hooghly, District Judge’s Office, P. O. Chinsurah, Dist – Hooghly, Pin –
712101 on or before 08-03-2013.
