Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) invites applications for
filling up of 05 Geophysicist in (Group-B) vacancies in Odisha Mining
and Geology Service under Steel and Mines Department. Eligible
candidates may apply through online on or before 07-11-2012. For more

Age Limit: Candidate should have below 32 years and above 21 years as on 01-08-2012.
Educational Qualification:
Candidate must possess H.S.C. or it’s Equivalent Examination with Odia
as one of the subjects/ Odia test and PG/ applied Geophysics/ Degree in
Geophysics & Geology from any recognized University.
Application Fee:
Candidates are required to pay challan of Rs.200/-(SC/ST of Odisha only
are exempted from payment of this fee). Payment can be made in any of
State Bank of India (SBI) branches.
Selection: Selection can be done on the basis of Viva Voce Test / interview.
How to Apply: Eligible
candidates may apply through online from http://opsconline.gov.in
website. After completion of online application form take printout of
the application form, enclosures & challan form with superscribing
on the envelope “Application for the Post of Geophysicist” and should be
send by Registered Post/Speed Post/Courier Service to the Special
Secretary, Odisha Public Service Commission, 19, Dr. P.K. Parija Road,
Cuttack-753001 on or before 20-11-2012.
Instructions for Online Application:
1. Log on to www.opsconline.gov.in to start the Online Application process.
2. Select the ‘Apply Online’ link besides the desired post.
3. Read the declaration and warning columns carefully, enter the Security Code and select ‘I agree to all terms & conditions stated above and in the Advt. & I want to Apply, link.
4. Fill in all marked details carefully, select the Examination zone and check once for errors.
5. Upload previously scanned photograph, signature and thumb impression at the places provided and click on ‘Submit’ button
6. Take print out of application form and payment challan and make payment as per details mentioned above.
7. After submission of Online Application send the print out of application form, along with other enclosures as per details given above.
